The biggest difference is that all of your network's traffic goes over Tor compared to sending just what you load in Tor Browser over Tor. I think the Tails option is better. The biggest problem with 'Tor routers' is that all your traffic is sent over Tor. So your Windows computer logged into @microsoft.account is sending data over Tor.
