I have a 3rd party router even though Sky is my ISP and I have split the 2.4G and 5G (different SSID) since Q will only connect via 2.4G. 2.4G is fast enough for downloading. The mini then connects to the Q box via WiFi. Q and the smart plugs are all that use the 2.4G. Everything else we have that uses WiFi uses 5G.
